OVERVIEW
The in-mold thermoset powder solution.
In mould decoration is attractive because a fully, or partially, decorated component is produced directly from the moulding process, with reduced emissions at lower process costs when compared to traditional techniques. This requires a specific coating application through a valve into a closed mould.
CLONECOAT™ is a patented thermoset powder coating solution that assumes the shape and contours of any molding tool which allows the finish to be formed in a myriad of textures while maintaining durability. CURVECOAT™ is formulated specially to coat parts directly in the mold. This allows the coat to cure and bond to the material as the material itself forms and cures. The end result is an inseparable bond for maximum durability and adherence.
MAIN FEATURES
- Can be used as a primer or as a finished topcoat.
- Excellent durability and chemical, scratch, and chip resistance.
- Covers complex shapes and seals pores and isolates fibers during the molding process.
- Homogeneous surface due to in-mold chemical reaction.
- Can be formulated with most Protech Group coatings.
- May result in more efficient production and cost savings as no ovens are required.
