Utilizing an electro dissipative coatings is thereby necessary to act as a protective film.ESD-KOTE is a patented thermoset powder coating solution that reduces the risk of shock by continuously conducting and dissipating static build-up on surfaces and slowing the rate of charge transfer.

ESD-KOTE is formulated by mixing an electrically conductive pigment into a non-conductive resin binder. The binder holds the paint together and provides the adhesion, while the conductive filler provides the electrical pathway. The coating safely ushers static electricity to an attached ground and prevents sparking and keeps electronic components safe in use or in storage.
