Planting the future together
The last weeks of the year bring a reflection on what matters: our loved ones, our goals and the impact we leave behind.
Over the past few years, Protech-Oxyplast has been working on making its impact greener. By strengthening our focus on ecological responsibility, our processes have improved to reduce landfill waste and increase the efficient use of natural resources; such as energy, water and raw materials.
And yet, we feel an urge to do more.
Instead of a traditional gift, we want to give something that doesn’t run out, but something that grows and gains value over time: a forest.
In partnership with BOS+, Oxyplast Belgium will support the planting of a field in Holsbeek, near Leuven, located between a busy highway and an industrial zone. An ideal place for trees to filter exhaust fumes, reduce noise and bring back life where nature had already retreated.
Flashback to 2017
It’s not the first partnership with BOS+, as we gifted a forest to our customers and employees back in 2017. Planted near our Ghent site, the once-empty field has now transformed into a young and lively forest. New saplings pushing through, wildlife reclaiming its space and natural scents filling the air. A clear reminder of how fast nature recovers when given the chance.

The urge in 2025
Belgium is among the least forested countries in Europe and each square meter of new green space counts. Especially in areas near highways, logistic hubs and industrial zones where trees have a bigger impact. Trees clean the air, reduce noise, cool their surroundings, retain water and create a place of rest for people and animals.
Our forest from 2017 demonstrates its value in nature, and its value is growing every year. Therefore, we invite everyone to pause for a moment and reflect on their own footprint. And to consider how small changes can help lighten it.
