The Protech Group has officially acquired Evotech Industrial Paints, a manufacturer specializing in industrial liquid coatings. Evotech’s primary production facility is located in Cornwall, Ontario, supporting a wide range of industrial applications. In addition, the company operates two service centers in Quebec City and North York, Canada, strengthening its regional presence and customer support capabilities. This acquisition further expands Protech Group’s liquid coatings portfolio and enhances its ability to serve customers across Eastern Canada.
Operating under the well-known Acrythane® brand since 1965, Evotech has long specialized in high-performance industrial liquid coatings for the window and door industry, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment. Moreover, their waterborne and solvent-based formulations are known for quality, durability, and environmental performance.
All equipment, employees, and offices will remain operational under the Protech Group brand, ensuring smooth integration and business continuity. In fact, these changes are designed to support our expanding presence in the industrial liquid coatings sector.
We look forward to welcoming the talented employees at Evotech to the Protech Group family upon the close of the transaction,” stated David Ades, President of the Protech Group. “This acquisition brings us additional strengths in waterborne and solvent liquid coatings technology and formulations. It also provides new relationships with multi-national and local customers. Additionally, it gives us additional presence with strategically located manufacturing and service sites. This move marks another step in our commitment to excellence in industrial liquid coatings across North America.”
With this acquisition, the Protech Group further strengthens its leadership position in the industrial coatings market while expanding its footprint in Eastern Canada. This strategic move enhances the Group’s capabilities in industrial liquid coatings and broadens its manufacturing and service reach. Targeted acquisitions remain a key pillar of Protech Group’s long-term growth strategy, supporting continued investment in innovation, operational excellence, and customer-focused solutions—particularly within the industrial liquid coatings segment.
