Acrylic Thermoset Powder Coating
Overview

Crystal-Clear Finish. Built for the Drive.

Acrylic powder coatings are highly effective for niche automotive applications. They provide remarkable clarity, a smooth finish, and durability as clear topcoats on surfaces like brass, chrome, and aluminum. These coatings offer high- and low-gloss options, as well as exceptional resistance to UV rays, pollutants, and chemicals, thereby protecting against fading, yellowing, and corrosion. Their hardness and scratch resistance make them an ideal choice for enhancing the look and performance of coated surfaces.

Acrylic powders are a high-performance clear coat for automotive alloy wheels. Frequently utilized in automotive, architectural, and outdoor metal finishes, the clear topcoat complements the underlying color coat while preserving a flawless, smooth appearance. With their easy-to-apply, solvent-free formulation, these powders promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact. While acrylic powders typically cure at 175 to 190°C, specialty formulations can cure as low as 150°C and below. This opens the possibility of coating high-temperature plastics and composites.
