HD-KOTE (Heavy Duty) is a polyester-based thermoset powder coating system designed to deliver enhanced corrosion resistance, excellent UV stability, and long-lasting outdoor durability. Engineered for single-coat application and compatibility with standard pretreatment processes, HD-KOTE provides reliable protection while streamlining production and reducing overall coating costs. It is also available with LB-SERIES™ low-bake technology, allowing for lower curing temperatures and reduced energy consumption.

Featuring Protech Group’s advanced .HD (Heavy-Duty) technology, HD-KOTE improves the salt spray resistance of D-SERIES polyester powder coatings by up to 25%, based on internal testing conducted in accordance with ASTM B117. This added protection makes it an ideal solution for applications requiring performance beyond conventional powder coating systems, without the added complexity and expense of a two-coat process. By combining enhanced corrosion protection with the efficiency of a single-coat system, HD-KOTE delivers a practical, cost-effective solution for demanding outdoor applications.
